Before building an industrial steel structure or shed, it can be helpful to receive some benchmark costs and price ranges. Below, we break up our past industrial and commercial projects in three main price brackets.
We then go over examples of previous industrial buildings and their associated costs.
Note: These cost are in Australian dollars. They cover the design, engineering and erection of your structure. They do not include site preparations, civil works or internal fit outs, of any kind.

Average cost: $165,279.

Industrial Building Cost Ranges

Low Cost Range: $85,000 – $95,000
An industrial shed at this cost could be as large as 33m x 15m x 5.25m. Projects of this size and scope are usually warehouses or storage buildings.

Mid Cost Range: $95,000 – $150,000
Mid-range industrial buildings include larger warehouses and include factories. For example, a 42m X 25m X 7m factory could cost $155k.

Upper Cost Range: $150,000 – $1,000,000
Very large industrial sheds can cost up to (and beyond) $1 million. These kinds of projects often involve multiple buildings or extremely large spaces. An example is a 150m x 50m x 12m factory.
