Robyn Boyle combined indoor dressage arena and stable complex
Project overview
On a picturesque property in Scone, New South Wales, Robyn Boyle — a dedicated dressage rider and trainer — required a facility that would allow lessons and training to continue in all weather conditions. Teaching in an open arena had caused frequent cancellations, reducing business capacity and income.
To create a long-term, all-weather solution, Robyn engaged Central Steel Build, recognised for its expertise in equestrian building design and construction, to design and construct a combined indoor dressage arena and stable complex. Her vision called for a shallow roof gradient that complemented the property’s existing buildings and prioritised both horse and rider safety.
Central Steel Build delivered a tailored equestrian facility that balances elegance, functionality, and resilience — providing a purpose-built space designed for daily use and professional training.

Project success and impact:
Our team collaborated closely with Robyn throughout the design and build stages to ensure the final structure met every operational and aesthetic objective.
To maintain a low visual profile, we developed a curved roofline that blended harmoniously with the surrounding landscape. We also coordinated with Killahy Equine, the stable fit-out provider, to ensure seamless integration between the building structure and interior systems. The stables feature perforated corrugated walls for enhanced ventilation, ensuring comfort and safety for both horses and riders.
The result is a custom equestrian complex that allows training and lessons to continue year-round — increasing productivity, improving safety, and supporting the ongoing growth of Robyn’s business.
“I cannot heap enough praise on Central Steel Build for the quality of our arena and stable complex construction. No big project is without a few hiccups, these were ironed out to our complete satisfaction in a timely manner. Before having the facility I was losing approximately 30% of my average income from cancelling lessons due to inclement weather. Now I can train and teach all year round no matter what is going on outside.”
